The Reverend Dr. Denton McLellan
We welcomed Denton back to Idlewild in 2005, after a long and successful pastorate of 28 years at Germantown Presbyterian. He had previously served as Idlewild's Assistant Pastor from 1969-1973.
As Parish Associate, Denton teaches church school and Bible classes, helps lead us in worship, and provides gracious pastoral care.
Denton enjoys "reading, get-togethers with friends, frustrating rounds of golf and spending time at our place in Black Mountain, North Carolina." He also enjoys his new family, from brothers and sisters-in-law to grandchildren, that he acquired when he married Mary Allie Baldwin.
